×Our beautiful bell tents are furnished and come complete with heating and electricity. All of our bells are the same size (5m), sleeping up to 5 guests and are furnished in the same way, although they are styled according to the season. Check out some examples of our bell tent styling below.
Never mind cramming in like sardines along with half the mud you trekked through today. Your luxury bell tent comes complete with a freshly made double bed, cosy bedding and fluffy rugs. Twinkly lights adorn the white canvas walls and a stove-style heater keeps you warm. No need for dry shampoo when you can freshen up at our luxury bathroom facilities that are kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
We provide you with some basic kitchen items to help you cook for yourselves although don’t forget about our restaurant and bar. Why not join us for breakfast or brunch, or if you're staying over a weekend, treat yourselves to a late checkout and join us for Sunday lunch.

We offer one night stays Sunday to Thursday outside of school holidays, we have a 2 night minimum stay on a Friday and Saturday and 3 night minimum during school holidays. (These minimum stays are periodically lowered where we have availability - look out on our social media pages for announcements on last minute deals)
For 2 guests:
1 night (Sunday to Thursday, outside of school holidays) £140
2 nights £210, 3 nights £285, 4 nights £375, 5 nights £450, 6 nights £520, 7 nights £560
Single beds (up to a maximum of 3 per tent) are £30 each per stay. Please add these on to your booking if required, or feel free to bring your own single beds if you prefer.

We are located at High House Farm near the beautiful Northumbrian village of Matfen. High House Farm is a 200 acre working farm, set right on Hadrian's Wall. Enjoy the onsite restaurant and bar with its reputation for homemade dishes and an emphasis on local produce and explore the brewery, sampling the fabulous local beers brewed right on site at the farm. (Brewery opening April 2022!)
The historic town of Corbridge; with it's beautiful, independent shops, quanit tea rooms, traditional pubs and long riverside walks is just 5 miles away. The gorgeous market town of Hexham is just a 15 minute drive away.
In less than an hour, you could be in the wild Northumberland National Park, magical Kielder Forest, the stunning Scottish Borders, enchanting Alnwick Castle and Gardens and our best kept secret - the incredible beaches of Northumberland, dotted with castles and wildlife.
We offer 1 night stays Sunday - Thursday. Friday and Saturday is a 2 night minimum stay and school holidays is a 3 night minimum stay.

Our aim is to provide you with a glamping experience without any of the hassle or huge kit list normally associated with these kinds of stay!
Your beautiful Bell tent comes complete with a real bed (no sleeping on the floor at High House Barn!), cosy bed linen, fluffy rugs, warm blankets, twinkly lights and gorgeous outdoor furniture for sitting out under the stars. We a BBQ, a stove effect heater and a firepit for evenings under the stars. *Please note that if you require any single beds in addition to your double bed, you must add these on in the Extras section of the booking process*
We provide some basic kitchen items; cutlery and crockery, cool box, washing up facilities etc. If you wish to cook for yourselves you may wish to bring a camping stove with you (for cooking outside the tent only).
Our bell tents all have electricity with at least 2 sockets for you to use as required.
If you want to check if anything in particular is available, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Our Bells are for all the family and well behaved dogs are welcome at High House Farm, in our bell tents and in the bar area of the barn.
Your furry friend must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the farm to protect the livestock. We ask that they are not allowed on any furniture and that they are dried before entering the tent.
We have 5 luxury bathrooms on site, providing large, walk-in showers, sink and loo.
Our general rule is that we will have your Bell tent ready for you at 3pm on your arrival day.
You can check out any time until 10am on your day of departure. We offer a late check out of 12 noon for £15.
We may be able to be flexible with our check in time; please ask us if an early check in is available for you.
Please do check the 'what's included' question to help you decide what to pack. Here is our suggested list of items to add to your usual packing for a comfortable stay:
- Clothing for all weathers! Please remember that mornings / evenings can be very cool, even in summer. Layers and waterproofs can be extremely useful, along with a bag to put any wet / muddy clothes in
- Personal toiletries
- Towels
- Wellies or walking boots
- A torch
- An umbrella
- Charcoal / firelighters / lighter if you will be using your BBQ
- Wood / kindling / lighter for your firepit
- Ice or ice packs for your cool box
- A rechargeable or solar charger for emergency phone / tablet charging!
- A camping stove (outdoor use only) if you plan on cooking during your stay
- A really good book
- Playing cards and games
- Slippers for inside to help you stay comfortable and help us keep things clean
- A sense of adventure and a love of the outdoors!
Of course! Our booking system takes a 25% deposit to secure your date. You will receive an request for your balance by email around 30 days before your arrival. Please note that your deposit is non-refundable.

We're sorry but refunds or date changes are not possible in the case of you being unable to stay on your booked dates for any reason including Covid. (In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to replace your booking in which case we may be able to offer you an alternative date or a refund (minus £50 admin fee) but this is in no way guaranteed and is not a situation that should be relied upon.
We strongly encourage you to ensure you have adequate insurance cover so that you are able to claim for the cost of your stay if you are unable to make it or have to leave earlier than expected for any reason.
We use 'proper' beds with a frame and comfy mattress. There's no sleeping on the floor at High House Barn!
Our single beds are a mixture of folding foam beds which fold away as chairs during the day to give you extra seating and space, and metal frame single beds which fold away under the double bed during the day. *Please note that any single beds required must be added on in the Extras section of our booking process*
We will only cancel your booking if we feel there is a danger to your safety during your stay; for example in extremely high winds. We do not take decisions like these lightly, but we will always put your safety first.
Otherwise, please pack clothing and any extras according to the forecast so you're well prepared for anything the great British weather throws at you!
If you find you aren't as prepared as you would have liked to have been during your stay, please let us know so we can try to help.
Unfortunately, as the weather is out of our control, we are unable to offer refunds in this case.
Please check the forecast before your stay and bring appropriate kit / clothing. Almost all of our guests are as warm as toast with the heating in their bell tent but if you do find you're cold during your stay, please let us know in case we are able to help.
Of course! Our beautiful 5m Bells are bright and spacious and can accommodate up to 5 guests.
We have strict Terms and Conditions which you agree to when you make your booking with us. Our T's and C's are for the comfort and safety of yourselves and any other guests on site, along with the security of our equipment. It is vital that you read through our Terms and Conditions to ensure you know what is expected of you during your stay. As soon as you've done that, you can sit back, relax and simply look forward to your fabulous glamping stay.
Guest satisfaction is our number one priority so we sincerely hope you never have cause to complain. However, things do happen and you can be assured that we will always do our very best to help if you are less than happy with any aspect of your stay.
Please let us know about any issues immediately and we will attempt to resolve matters as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately we are unable to deal with complaints brought to our attention once you have left the site so please let us know straight away.
